About Barry Lill
I’ve spent my career in corrugated packaging operations, working directly with production teams to improve output, stability, and delivery in live manufacturing environments.
I’m not a career consultant. I spent 25 years as an Operations Director and Managing Director, responsible for safety, quality, output, and delivery performance in corrugated plants — including day-to-day responsibility for production, planning, and multi-point gluer operations.
Experience in Corrugated Factory Operations
My background is rooted in the practical realities of corrugated manufacturing — particularly where factory flow breaks down and machines such as multi-point gluers become the constraint.
I’ve worked extensively with:
- Multi-point gluer performance and stability
- Peel & seal and silicon tape ecommerce applications
- Recovering lost speed, uptime, and quality
- Improving flow and throughput around the gluer
- Improving delivery reliability across the factory system
The focus has always been on sustainable improvement, not short-term fixes.
How I work
I work directly with plant teams to understand what’s really limiting performance — not just on the machine, but across the wider factory system.
The work is hands-on, practical, and focused on changes that can be sustained once I’ve stepped away. There are no frameworks, no slide decks, and no generic answers — just time spent where the problem actually sits.
Where I’m Typically Asked to Help
I’m usually asked to help when:
- Delivery performance has become unreliable
- A production constraint is limiting throughput
- A multi-point gluer isn’t delivering expected output
- Peel & seal or silicon tape applications are causing instability
- Internal teams need an experienced external perspective
If you’re dealing with a persistent production issue and want to talk it through with someone who’s been responsible for the outcome, I’m happy to have an informal conversation.
